Jacynth Roberts
Ms. Roberts earned her BA in Communications and an MA in Creative Writing. She received her CLAD Credential from SF State and has taught first and third grades at the Santa Clara School District. She is also one of the main tutors for Tutors R Us.
Louie Ngo
Mr. Ngo graduated from the University of California Irvine with a BA in Psychology in 2005. He continued his studies with a Masters degree in Education with a California multiple subject teaching credential in 2007. Louie’s first experience in the classroom setting was at Yick Wo Elementary in San Francisco. He followed that with an after school community enrichment (ACE) program leader position at Gordon J. Lau Elementary School for the Kindergarten-1st grade classes. He has also been a substitute teacher with SFUSD. In addition to both classroom and after school settings, he has also tutored for the Score! Educational Center at West Portal and now with Tutors R Us.
Xiaoyan Ma (Mandarin)
Ms. Ma was a Chinese Teacher in China for 20 years. She taught Mandarin reading and writing to elementary students (K-6th). She also taught at Sichuan Normal University located in Chengdu, China for 8 years. For the last 12 years, Ms. Ma was at Honghe Xiaoxue and Yangxizhen Xiaoxuexiao schools, where she taught Music and Science along with Mandarin classes. She received her Teaching Degree from Sichuan Normal University and Chengdu Dianda Junior College. Ms. Ma has earned several Teaching Awards during her 20 years of teaching.
Ayali Molne Puerta (Spanish)
Ms. Puerta has been teaching Spanish for nine years. She started teaching at the University of Havana. She then taught adults at Berlitz and Casa Hispana. Most recently, she has been teaching Spanish to K-8 grades at JCCSF, Language in Action, Live Oak School, Laurel School, Alvarado, Sunnyside Elementary School and Rooftop Elementary School. Ms. Puerta brings warmth, knowledge, and motivation into the classroom. Her teaching philosophy is that learning should be enjoyable.
